Celebrating the best of young South African design talent, Mavromac South recently launched a boutique fabric and wall-covering collection by South African architect Lorenzo Nassimbeni, combining the launch with heavenly wine tastings.
The range is inspired by sketches of iconic international buildings such as the Chrysler in New York, St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and Old Mutual Heights in Cape Town. Using the sketches as the motif for each pattern, Lorenzo removes the focus from the singular icon to create a dazzling new linear landscape, a contemporary toile for designophiles.
To toast the launch of this collection a coterie of South Africa’s leading personalities in interiors, architecture and media were invited to enjoy intimate wine tastings in Mavromac’s strikingly decorated flagship showrooms.
